On a warm August evening, competing with a noisy adjacent fairground, our Chair LG used the joint theme of mountains and hares for her fill in material. We learned that a male hare is called a Jack and a female hare is called a Jill. The collective noun is a drove of hares – fascinating, we learn something every day…
Introductions were to the question: ‘Tell us about mountains or hares’
For our inspiration, LG read a poem called Midsummer Joys by Winifred Sackville Stoner.
