Meeting 20th June

On a warm balmy June evening our chair TH treated us to the delights of the ‘silly season’
including a story about a racoon with no fear of heights whatsoever. Laughter ensued.

Introductions were to the question: What is your favourite sporting spectator activity?

For our inspiration, SR read an uplifting thought from Dinah Maria Mulock Craik –
poet and novelist 1826 – 1887.

Ah Counter – CAW, Timer – GS
Wordmaster – SR with the word ‘muchly’

The prepared speeches were as follows:
CLW with ‘OMG – putting faith to the test’ evaluated by DM
GS with ‘The most important question you could ever answer’ evaluated by SR

Our Two Minute Topics master CAW posed various random Topics including:
Would you have a tattoo?
Tell us about a wedding anniversary
What do you think about Russia hosting the World Cup?
Talk about your holidays as a child
Talk about castles

Two Minute Topics evaluation – JR

Awards presentation – CLW

There was no  Best Speech award as there were only two speeches
