Meeting 8th November

The humble ‘Bucket’ was the theme used by our chair PR at last night’s meeting.
We were entertained by various aspects of this object and by a fine rendition
of a Flanders and Swann song accompanied by the ukelele!

Introductions were to the question: What is on your ‘Bucket List?’

We had the pleasure of guest JT at the meeting, we do hope he enjoyed the proceedings and hope to see him again.

For our inspirational thought CAW read the poem ‘To Autumn’ by John Keats

Ah Counter – SR, Timer – DM

Our Topics master, CLW asked participants to talk about the following proverbs:

You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar
If wishes were horses then beggars would ride
The grass is greener on the other side of the hill
Birds of a feather flock together
There’s no such thing as a free lunch
Don’t judge a man until you’ve walked a mile in his shoes
The squeaky wheel gets the grease
The second mouse gets the cheese
If you’re not part of the solution then you’re part of the problem
