On a wet, windy but warm August evening our chair JR used the theme of ‘literary devices’ and introduced us to such wonderful examples as the paraprosdokian.
Excellent examples of this and other devices were used for her fill-in material.
For the introductions we were asked to give an example of a ‘tongue twister’
For our invocation TH told us a humorous story with the moral ‘Think carefully before you multiply’.
