It was a distinctly ‘light’ evening for our last meeting in 2015. There were no prepared
speeches and no evaluations. Instead we had a delightful session of Charades, an extended
tea break and a Table Topics session which no one escaped!
Our Toastmaster SR however subjected members to a plethora of ‘interesting factoids’
Introductions were to the question: ‘What childhood Christmas memories do you have?’
For our invocation JD read poem ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ (anon)
Duties: Timer – PR, Ah Counter – LC, Wordmaster – CLW with the word ‘abracadabra’
TH introduced our session of Charades including:
My cat is hungry
My husband snores
Rudolph the red nosed reindeer
I love my dog
My feet hurt
I can’t dance
After an extended break for tea and nibbles our Table Topics Master DM pulled
topics (provided by members) from a hat including:
Stockings or tights at the end of your bed?
Without mentioning chocolate talk about brown food
Is it ever ok to re-gift presents?
If you could could change one thing about Christmas what would it be?
What is your favourite Christmas film and why?
Where would you most like to be over Christmas and why?
Christmas background music – annoying or festive?
My favourite Christmas treat is?
Tell me about a winter garden
Awards presenter – JO
Best Charade – Mater
Best Table Topic – EH
