Our meeting last night fell upon Armistice day and our most competent Toastmaster
JO provided a plethora of interesting facts and figures surrounding two world wars.
Introductions were to the question: ‘Tell us something that you are proud of’
The invocation was the poem ‘The Soldier’ by Rupert Brooke, read by TH
We had the delightful company of fellow Toastmaster Angie Bokenham from
Keira Club, #3558, District 70 in Wollongong Australia. Angie decided to visit
our club while visiting family and friends in Norfolk, and managed to win the
Table Topics trophy. Unfortunately she had to settle with a photo of the trophy
to take back home with her!
