Our Toastmaster, DL, brought the theme of ‘If only….’ to the meeting last night and introductions were to the question: “What would you like to have done or do in the future, ‘if only’…..?”

For our Invocation PR read out a poem he had written on Cromer’s ‘peerless’ pier.
In the business session TH reminded members that the meeting on 2 September will be taken up by humorous speech and table topics competitions, with the Area competitions taking place on 14 September. Members were asked to offer their services to both of the competition events. TH also asked all members to always keep on the lookout for potential members

Table Topic Master LG used the theme of ’planning a summer holiday’, setting the topics: Home or away?; ‘Camping or 5*?’; ‘Coast or countryside?’; ‘Active or lazy?’; ’Train or plane?’.

General Evaluator, KB, summed up the evening as a whole, saying that members had ‘enjoyed an excellent evening of humour and wit under the splendid auspices of DL.’
