Our President DM was in festive spirits last night to host our Christmas Nibbles Meeting.
A couple of bow ties and a smattering of red dresses warmed up an otherwise chilly December evening.
A warm welcome to returning guest MBA and our best wishes go out to
CLW, we look forward to seeing him back soon.
Introductions were to the question: ‘What do you want in your Christmas stocking?’
We started the evening with a speech by TH entitled: Season’s greetings which was then
evaluated by DM and then AB – in extreme but opposing styles. An amusing but useful
discussion of evaluation techniques then followed .
After an ‘IQ’ test we enjoyed an extended tea break demolishing the assortment of tempting nibbles generously provided by our members.
Our Table Topics Master DM posed questions with a Christmas theme including:
What would you really like for Christmas?
What is the worst present to give?
A white Christmas – heaven or hell?
What do you miss about Christmases of old?
Is Christmas all too commercial now?
What is your perfect Christmas day?
Is your glass half full or half empty?
What was Christmas like when you were young?
2015 – What plans do you have?
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a reminder that the next
meeting is on 7th January 2015.
